It’s been awhile since we’ve caught up with our travels. We thought we would post highlights from our activities with photos. While we are sad our month in Italy got shut down thanks to coronavirus shutting down their borders…we are glad we left for our traveling year earlier rather than later. We are so thankful for the amazing adventure we have had!

(Technically our fourth continent of this trip — part of Spain but off the coast of North Africa)

I love following your travels! What an amazing experience for you all!

Another beautiful set of photos to share with us — thank you so much. You make travel seem so effortless and, despite your expected (and unexpected) challenges, you’ve created family memories that will last a lifetime for each of you and for those of us viewing from a “distance”!

King David I Dunkeld of Scotland, 1084–1153, was the girls’ 26th great-grandfather. (blood related) He was a 12th-century ruler who was Prince of the Cumbrians from 1113 to 1124 and later King of Scotland from 1124 to 1153. The youngest son of Malcolm III and Margaret of Wessex, David spent most of his childhood in Scotland, but was exiled to England temporarily in 1093. Perhaps after 1100, he became a dependent at the court of King Henry I. There he was influenced by the Anglo-French culture of the court.
